Will restaurants be open on New Year’s Eve?
Yes, there will be plenty of places to get something to eat. Remember, too, that your First Night® Button entitles you to discounts at participating First Dine restaurants from December 1st through January 3rd!
Which Restaurants are Participating in First Dine?
Where Can I Park?
All public Morristown Parking Authority lots are free for the night of the event. Our event map identifies free parking locations with a “P” located throughout Morristown along with parking lot capacities. Metered parking is free after 8pm.
Where do the shuttles run and where do they stop?
Courtesy of Atlantic Health, free shuttles will run regularly throughout the evening, stopping at 9 different locations. Shuttle stops are identified on our event map. If you are planning on using the shuttle service, please allow time for unexpected traffic.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Prior to December 31st tickets can be purchased online at www.FirstNightMorris.com or in person at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. On the night of the event tickets can be purchased at the Command Center located in the Hyatt Conference Center at Headquarters Plaza, the Mayo Performing Arts Center, the Morristown Library (after 4 pm), and the Morristown Green.
I ordered tickets online. Where can I pick them up?
FOR THOSE WHO ORDERED ONLINE: The receipt you printed when you ordered your tickets online is not sufficient for entry to the venues. You must present that receipt at WILL CALL to pick up your tickets. WILL CALL will be located at MPAC until 4 pm on the 31st. After 4 pm, WILL CALL will be located at the Morristown Library's South Street entrance, directly across the street from MPAC.
What is the difference between a ticket and a button?
Both tickets and buttons can be used for admission into First Night® performances. Printed tickets are distributed by the Mayo Performing Arts Center for online orders that are placed early enough to be sent in the mail. These tickets can be exchanged for buttons on the night of the event, and the ticket holder must surrender his/her ticket in order to receive a button. Buttons will be distributed for all other admission transactions, including those at WILL CALL.
What Are the Hours for the MPAC Box Office?
The box office is open 10 am – 6 pm, Monday – Saturday.

The Fireworks are best viewed from the Morristown Green.
What is the First Chance 50/50 Raffle and Where Can I Get Tickets?
First Chance is a 50/50 cash raffle in which half of the proceeds are paid out in prize money to four winning tickets and the remaining proceeds are donated to First Night® Morris County in order to fund this wonderful event. On the night of the event First Chance 50/50 Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Command Center located in the Hyatt Conference Center at Headquarters Plaza, the Mayo Performing Arts Center, the Morristown Library, Morristown High School, and the Morristown Green.
I received a mailing for the First Chance 50/50 Raffle. When is the last day I can mail in my payment for tickets?
Mail in your payment for First Chance raffle tickets, on or before December 26th. The drawing will take place on January 1st at 3 pm at the Hyatt Morristown. Winners need not be present to win.
Where can I get a program of the evening’s events and performances?
The Event Program can pick printed off the event website www.FirstNightMorris.com. From the George Washington Bridge Take Route 80 West to Exit 43, Route 287 South. Follow Route 287 to Exit 35, Madison Avenue.
Turn right at the end of the ramp, proceeding to traffic light on the corner of South Street and Madison Avenue.
Turn right onto South Street and proceed to the center of town.
From the Lincoln Tunnel Follow the NJ Turnpike South to Exit 15W, Route 280 West. Take 280 West to 80 West (280 becomes 80 after Exit
1). Follow 80 West to 287 South. Take 287 South to Exit 35, Madison Avenue.
Turn right at the end of the ramp, proceeding to traffic light on the corner of South Street and Madison Avenue.
Turn right onto South Street and proceed to the center of town.
From the Holland Tunnel Upon exiting the Tunnel, follow Routes 1 and 9 South to Route 78 West. Take 78 West to Route 24 West. Route 24 West ends at Route 287 South. Take 287 South to Exit 35, Madison Avenue.

From Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia Area, Trenton Take the NJ Turnpike North to Exit 10, which is Route 287 North. Follow 287 North to Exit 35, Madison Avenue.

Turn right onto South Street and proceed to the center of town.
From the Garden State Parkway North Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 145, Route 280. Follow 280 West to 80 West (280 becomes 80 after Exit 1). Follow 80 West to 287 South. Take 287 South to Exit 35, Madison Avenue.

From the Garden State Parkway South / Upstate NY / New England Cross the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York and follow signs for New Jersey/Garden State Parkway South.

Is there bus and train transportation?
The Morristown Train Station is located .3 miles from the Morristown Green. The Morristown Train Station is on the Morris & Essex Line with Midtown Direct rail service, and it is also a stop on the NJ Transit bus line. You can walk from the Train Station to the Morristown Green in about 10 minutes.
